Brazil holidays are always special. They combine some of the world’s most breath taking scenery with the fervour, excitement and colour of the Rio Carnival.
However, another ingredient has been thrown into the mix which is sure to make Brazil an even more exciting place to visit.
The awarding of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games to the city of Rio ensured that the Brazilian city, and indeed the whole of Brazil will be one big party leading up to the games in a few years time.
Aspects of Brazilian life which will colour your visit to this wonderful nation include such delights as their intoxicating and rhythmic music. Brazilian cuisine can at first seem slightly bland. Their favourite dishes are meat based stews with rice, however, nice restaurants can be found in the big cities.
Sight seeing while in Brazil is quite awesome. Sugar Loaf mountain dominates the city of Rio, and football lovers will find themselves in heaven. Stadium tours can be arranged for the Maracana where fans can visit the scene of footballing legend’s greatest triumphs.
It goes without saying that the beaches are also wonderful. The Copacabana is everything you thought it would be and more. It’s filled with beautiful bronzed bodies during the day and is a party hot spot at night. Beach volleyball is also a favourite pass-time here is you fancy something a bit more energetic than just sitting on the beach.
It goes without saying that you should always try to stay safe. Rio, like any big city can be a dangerous place, especially at night, however, if you take a few sensible precautions, you should be just fine. Namely, stick to the well lit main roads and pavements, don;t have any expensive jewelry or cameras on display, and if possible try to stay in large crowds.
These worries shouldn’t spoil your holiday to Brazil or your enjoyment of this wonderful country however. And it should also be noted that the security service will be stepping up their efforts in preparation for the coming Olympic Games. So here’s to Brazil – the party capital of the world!
